Pocket Card

So I love the new flower die from Stampin' Up!  These roses are so cute and perfect;).  Here is the Valentine we made at club this past week.  It is a pocket card and probably not mailable:)  But who needs to when it is this cute!
Stop by later this week to see more with this cute die.

Foxy valentine

I wanted to make some type of little box for my club project for Valentine's Day.  I decided a Fox would be perfect and went on my way.  This little guy is made from all dies and punches with the exception of a few hand cut items!
He stays shut with his little nose sticking under the "I freakin' love you" heart.
Here he is all opened up with a bag full of salt water taffy!
Perfect little treat:)

Valentine Twist

I am totally in love with our new wood background stamp.  So at my last class I had to fit it in somewhere:)  This card is a bit of a twist on a Valentine, but I think it works!  I used Soft Suede, Strawberry Slush and Pistachio Pudding With a Whisper White base.
Thank for stopping by!

I Freakin' Love you!

I know not everyone likes this stamp...but I think it is pretty cute:)  Here is a card I did at my last card class.  I absolutely love this new arrow embossing folder in the new occasions catalog!  There are tons of cute new items in there, and with Sale-a-bration right around the corner it is easy to find a ton of things you need:)

Pompom

Good morning! Hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday!
Here is a card I recently made at one of my classes.  We used the new scissors in the occasions catalog to shred the paper for the pom-pom.  Then layered everything on acetate so you can see through to the center of the card:)
Here is the card so you can see how it looks standing up.  The starfruit strip is actually in the center of the card.
Thanks for stopping in!!

Pop-up

So I am sure when I write this post people may think I am a little crazy, but o'well, I guess it was only a matter of time. :)
So I am not a big "die" fan.  And when I say that , I mean I own probably everyone out of the catty, but I don't really like them:) I love to cut, seriously LOVE to cut.  But I realize that I am not the norm.  To me it is easier(or more enjoyable?) to hand cut everything I do...Taking it over to my big shot, pulling out the die, running it through just seems like so much work!  See I told you I may sound crazy:)
So recently I broke down and bought the pop up card base and deco insert to make pop-up cards that didn't have to be hand made.  So I was all excited about the "lack of" cutting I had to do in the prep and the fancy details that I would never be able to do by hand for a class.  So I ran the first one through that was just the base, then ran the "pop-up" layer though.  I put them together, turned to my mom and said, well that was a waste of $60.00.  I hated it.  But since I only had 2 hours before 10 people would be at my house I had to work with it. So I did...
And guess what, they loved it!  Seriously loved it, like bought the dies and everything loved it:)  I am not really sure the point of my story, except maybe that I was wrong:)  But the card has grown on me some, I no longer hate it or feel it belongs in the trash, I also still have my dies and will continue to use them.  I have to say on this card, I am pretty sure I didn't fallow the direction on putting the base and the pop-up piece together correctly.  But I didn't like the way they fit going the same direction(with the  scalloped edges together.  So I flipped them, to make my card more squared off.  They fit perfect together and you don't even need adhesive to make them stay!
So I hope you enjoyed my rambling today!  See you tomorrow :)

Art of Chalkboard-sneak peak

So I love art, pretty much in any shape or form.  I am yet to find a medium that I don't like...well thats a lie I hate play dough.  It stinks!  But I am not even sure that is a true art medium???  So I decided to start some classes that combine my love of art with my love of stamping.
Here is a sneak peak of my "Art of Chalkboard" class

I will be sure to show you details as soon as it is here.  These are a few of my samples and the cute supply box everyone will get:)

The new stuff...

I am SO excited about all the new goodies in the new occasions Catalog!  I have been so crazy that I have hardly been able to get to it!  So here is a quick project I just did
so I would have something to show:) So don't judge on the photo since it is night time.

I used the new Another Great Year set on this card.  The letters are markered in with Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush and Bermuda Bay.  And I topped it all off with some gems and a pom-pom.  I have to say the trends these days I am LOVIN'  I have always LOVED pom-poms since I was a kid(baby really) and my mom had these incredible roller skates.  And what do you think were smack dab on the toe of them.  A HUGE yarn pom-pom.  I remember my mom showing me how to make them when I was little.
So have you seen the new occasions catty?  If not be sure to click on the image of it on my side bar.  You won't be disappointed!  Here are a few of my favorites fro the catty...
